Pay transparency

The pay register required by Royal Decree 902/2020 and the gender pay gap of the EU Directive, built from the payslips you already have.

The problem it solves

The pay register is mandatory for every company in Spain, from the first hire, and hardly any SME keeps it up to date: salaries sit in the accountant’s payslips as PDFs, and building it in a spreadsheet is an afternoon of copying figures that soon go stale. When the workers’ representatives, an employee or a labour inspector asks for it, there is nothing to show.

What it actually does

  • 01

    Mean and median, by sex

Mean and median pay for women and men, per hour and per year. The headline figure is hourly, what is earned in a year divided by the contracted hours, so that part-time work is not mistaken for a pay difference.

  • 02

    Base pay and complements apart

Base salary on one side and salary complements, variable pay and pay in kind on the other, with their mean, their median and the share of each sex receiving them.

  • 03

    By category and by quartile

The gap in each job category, with base pay and complements apart, and the workforce split into four pay bands showing the weight of women and men in each.

  • 04

    The thresholds the law sets

It flags categories with a gap of 25 % or more and those of 5 %. The law requires companies with 50 or more staff to justify a 25 % difference in the register itself (art. 28.3 of the Workers’ Statute), and the EU Directive requires gaps of 5 % to be assessed. It also says how often the report is due for your headcount.

  • 05

No names and no small groups

The document names nobody, and in a category with fewer than three people of one sex the figures are withheld, because they would be someone’s salary under another label. Every figure states how many people it covers.

  • 06

    An answer for whoever asks

Pick a person and you get the document with their pay and the average of their category by sex, which the Directive entitles them to request in writing (art. 7), with the two-month deadline to reply.

How the AI assistant works
  • Are men and women paid the same?
  • What is the median hourly pay for each job?

What changes day to day

Pay transparency

  • You have the pay register before anyone asks for it
  • Workers’ representatives get a PDF ready to sign, not a spreadsheet
  • You know where the gap is and whether it has to be justified
  • Salaries are seen only by those who need to see them

Frequently asked questions

  • Quantummycos covers both duties in the same platform: the working-time record of article 34.9 of the Workers’ Statute, with an unalterable history kept for four years, and the pay register of article 28.2 and Royal Decree 902/2020, with mean and median pay by sex, by category and with base salary and complements kept apart. Both export as a PDF ready to sign and in Excel.
